Adam Davidson

Owner :: Engineering, Estimates, Machining, Welding

Adam's love of making things goes back to Legos, Erector Sets and Lincoln logs. Fast forward to college at Texas State University and a degree in Manufacturing Engineering was the obvious choice. Adam was employed as a draftsman at a machine shop during college where his favorite class was foundry. His skills secured him a position with General Motors before graduation. The collapse of the automotive industry temporarily sent him searching for work and he soon became a metallurgist at Forge USA. Adam's metal working experience includes cutting metal, pouring metal, and forming metal. With the forming of Houston Custom Metal Works, he now is able to add his own creativity to those skills and produce parts and projects in his own shop.

When Adam isn't at his shop he can be found attending Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church with his wife, Ellen, and son. As a family they enjoy traveling, skiing, hunting and fishing. When his inner speed demon calls, he loves to go to the race track for hot laps or to spectate racing events.

Kimberly Healey

Business Manager :: Scheduling, Billing, etc.

Kimberly is a jack of all trades. While you won't find her welding or machining in our shop, you will find her holding down the front of the house managing the day-to-day office managerial tasks such as scheduling, invoicing and marketing.
A native Houstonian, Kimberly has an undergraduate degree from University of Houston in Operations Management and Accounting. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Houston – Victoria. Among her many blessings, she counts her husband of 15 years, and three children. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, wine, swimming, and multiple volunteering opportunities. She currently volunteers with Cub Scouts, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and various groups at her church and at her children’s schools.

Eric Leake

Engineer :: Water Jet and Production

Graduated December 2016 from Texas State University with a BS in Manufacturing Engineering. At Texas State, I conducted research within the engineering department dealing with renewable energy studies. I also worked with the 5-axis milling CNC, where I utilized the engineering knowledge from many classes to be able to design, simulate, and machine the parts needed. Before graduating, my Senior Design class team worked with Caterpillar at their engine assembly plant in Seguin, TX. There we helped design a more efficient fuel rigging line cart. Through this project, we utilized different metal fabrication techniques such as bending, different cutting methods, use of the water jet, milling and drilling. At HCMW I am involved in the design and tooling of various products to be cut, primarily on the water jet, as well as operate the water jet. I also provide all the maintenance regarding the water jet system, which includes filter replacement, garnet removal, and the hydraulic intensifier pump repair.

In my free time, I enjoy watching and going to professional sporting events supporting every Houston area team, anything outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. I also love to travel with my recently engaged fiancé exploring new places together.
